Here in South Carolina, however, it is still very hot in August and September. You cannot go out and put mums on your front porch and it is still too early to put out the “Give Thanks” signs.

For me, I switch to a fall wreath that has football ribbon to mark the start of football season.

I use this one until the beginning of October when I switch it out for Halloween.

I also have a Welcome sign on my front porch that I change out for every season and holiday. It comes with interchangeable icons you in place of the “O” in “HOME.” This is such a cute and easy way to add a little holiday flair. We are University of South Carolina Gamecocks fans, so we put out a yard flag specific to SC Gamecocks. You can choose to support your favorite college or professional team, or you can put a more generic fall yard flag that talks about football season.

The final step is to decorate your mantle with fall football home decor. We moved into our new house last year, and I was so excited to have an actual mantle to decorate for the first time.
